Summary
In this half-day Masterclass for alumni of Ibec Academy’s sustainability and ESG courses, participants will hear about the latest hot topics in corporate sustainability and get the chance to discuss common challenges and share learnings with their peers.
At the end of the programme participants will:
- Be up to date on the latest trends and developments in corporate sustainability and ESG
- Feel equipped with practical knowledge on how to tackle the common challenges facing companies as they implement sustainability strategies and respond to stakeholder and regulatory demands
- Get connected to a network of like-minded practitioners with whom they can share experiences and insights

Alumni of the CPD Certificate in Corporate Sustainability ESG, and Foundations in Sustainability and ESG for business.

8.30 – 9.00: Arrival, breakfast, and networking
Latest Sustainability Developments, including:
- Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
- Greenwashing
- “Hot topics” - determined by attendees in advance of the session
Panel Discussion with Practitioners
- Reflections from people who are driving change on sustainability/ESG in their organisations
Breakout group discussions
- Facilitated by the Sustainability Works team, these peer-to-peer discussions will focus on sharing learnings and insights on common sustainability challenges facing organisations.
Programme Facilitator
Sustainability Works
Karen Deignan is a Partner and Co-Founder with Sustainability Works. She is an expert in sustainability strategy, communications, and reporting and has spent her career working with global corporations to engage leaders and employees in driving sustainability transformation.
Aideen O’Hora is a Partner and Co-Founder with Sustainability Works. An environmental scientist by background, she is an expert in sustainable business, energy, and climate innovation. Over her career she has created national programmes to inform policy and drive progress on corporate sustainability.
Sharon Keilthy is an Associate Director with SW and the lead trainer on SW’s courses with Ibec Academy. She is an experienced consultant, sustainability practitioner, and entrepreneur. She worked for ten years in consulting with McKinsey and Co, then started the world’s first eco-activist toystore, Jiminy, before returning to work in consulting with Sustainability Works.
